The Start AppStream Fleets action can be used to start one or more AppStream fleets at a specific time of day. Once the fleets have been started, they can optionally be stopped after they have been running for a specific amount of time.

For example, 5 fleets can be started at 8am and stopped 8 hours later with a single Start AppStream Fleets action.

Please see Common Action Settings for a description of settings common to all action types.

Fleet Identification Method

Indicates the method in which the AppStream fleets will be selected. Possible options include:

  • All Fleets

  • By Fleet Name

  • By Resource Tag

Fleet Name

Indicate the comparison to use when comparing AppStream fleet names.

Resource Tag Name

Indicates the name of the resource tag that will be used for comparison.

Resource Tag Value

Indicates the comparison to use when comparing the resource tag's value.

Stop the Fleets

Indicate whether the fleets should be automatically stopped later. The running time of the fleets must also be specified if this is checked.

The following Amazon AWS commands are used. The access key should have permission to execute all of them.

  • appstream:DescribeFleets

  • appstream:ListTagsForResource

  • appstream:StartFleet

  • appstream:StopFleet
